Bert's Hidden Corner

This is page is only tucked into a corner. And even so, there was both a trickier and a more straightforward way to get here. Not that there is anything particularly personal or private here. One of the things I like is puzzles and games.

So why not have a little fun. I'm just silly enough to think that maybe even Google won't  find me tucked away like this, but it doesn't matter.

You will possibly find out some things about me here that you didn't know, but this page is still about my walking and my writing.

This is how I looked in 2012. I have lived in Lawrence, Kansas in the same house on New Hampshire Street for about 20 years.

I've been married for 27 years to Dawn. We are on our second cat. Oshka was a good cat. Rita is different, but I like her too.

I am a stay at home husband. I cook and clean, work on the house and the yard and I do a considerable number of other things that I think are interesting, but I will let that go for now.

This link below will take you to a page describing three books I have self-published. Two collections of writings, which include some of the 'Walk to the River' posts, but also a considerable number of  my other writings. And there's also a novella aimed at early teens, called 'Sidney Core's Secret.'

There is a further link at the bottom to some river photo/text books.

The link below takes you to a page in which you can listen to me tell part of my story. Text is included. Up to you.

Which story - about my life

  1. Is it a sign that you're crazy if you talk to yourself?

Only if you take what you say too seriously.

    1. Good thinking. All this time I've spent writing. I could have had a sandwich.
